As per provisions of the Real Estate ( Regulation and Development) Act , 2016 all the Real Estate Agents are required to be Registered under the Act to facilitate the sale or purchase of any plot, apartment or building.
Every Real estate agent shall make an application to the Real Estate Regulatory authority of the respective state for Registration accompanied by applicable fees and documents.
The registration fees for Real Estate Agents are different for different states.
The Registration Number granted upon registration of Real Estate Agents shall be quoted by every real estate agent in every sale facilitated by them under this Act.
The real estate agent shall also maintain books of account, records and documents in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
