WBRERA orders strict compliance with Advertisement Norms for Real Estate Project

The West Bengal Real Estate Regulatory Authority (WBRERA) issued order dated 07.03.2024 mandating strict compliance with the advertisements by Real Estate projects.

The Order No. 492-RERA/L-01/2023 directed for strict compliance of Section 11 of The R.E (R & D) Act, 2016.

Important Point to Note Under the above circular are as:

1. All the Advertisement / Publicities of Real Estate Project must Contain the WBRERA Number of the Project along with Web Address of the Authority (www.rera.wb.gov.in).
2. The Size of Letter & Numbers used in the advertisement Shall not less than 1/3 of the Font-Size used for the name of The project in that advertisement. The Color & size must be such that it is easily visible.
3. The Details of WBRERA Number of the Project along with Web Address of the Authority shall be mentioned in the right top Corner / Quadrant of the Advertisement / Prospectus.
4. All Advertisements including FM radio,SMS,Whatsapp Messages Shall contain or include  WBRERA Number of the Project along with Web Address of the Authority .
5. WBRERA Number of the Project along with Web Address of the Authority shall be mentioned in the Display Board installed at the Project Site.
6. In case of Print Media, The Length & Breadth of RERA registered information shall not be less than 20% of The Length & Breadth issued in such media.
7. Need to upload all such Advertisements as per Our Quarterly Update.

Any Violation of above Orders shall be subject to Penalty under Section 61 & 63 of The R.E (R & D) Act, 2016.
